About

All details below are from Princess Cruise Line; are subject to change by the cruise line at any time and without notice; and are for informational purposes only. Any errors and/or omissions resulting in pricing, inventory, content, or other discrepancies are not our responsibility.

Effective December 11, 2005, change fees will be charged when certain changes are made to a booking within 45 days of sailing, regardless of whether or not tickets have been issued. The $50 change fee is for processing the changes and is not based on reissuing tickets. The change fee is different from cancellation fees. If a change is made during the cancellation fee period, a booking may have both a cancellation fee and a change fee. Only one change fee is charged per passenger, per day, regardless of how many changes were made that day.

Effective June 2008, cruise change fees will no longer be assessed for:

  • Adding or changing land packages
  • Changing the first and/or last name (including name corrections). Changes to both a first and last name are not permitted on the first passenger in a stateroom; only a correction to a first or last name. Changes to both the first and last name are permitted on second berth passengers.
Please see below for changes within 45 days of sailing that will incur a change fee.

Special Programs

Inoculations and Health Advisories: Passengers are advised to check with their doctor regarding inoculation requirements in the ports they will be visiting. Some ports strictly enforce these requirements, and certain documents may be needed to go ashore. In addition to contacting your personal physician for the appropriate inoculations, for your protection we strongly recommend that you contact the Centers for Disease Control prior to traveling to learn of any health advisories for the region you will be visiting.

Cruise Ticket, Passports And Travel Documents: Please be sure to bring your Cruise Ticket and Passage contract with you to embark on the ship. You should read the Passage contract carefully as its terms and conditions apply to you and your cruise.
Princess' far reaching itineraries require you to carry proper travel documents. U.S. and Canadian citizens need proof of citizenship when taking a Princess cruise to any destination. A passport is required for Europe, South America, the Orient, India, Africa and the South Pacific. Various countries require visas for entry. Please check with your travel agent for details.
Note that residents of countries other than the U.S. and Canada require a passport for all sailings, and may require additional documentation. Check with your travel agent or the Consulate for each port you will visit for any specific documents you need to obtain prior to your cruise.
Although a passport is not specifically required for U.S. and Canadian residents in the Caribbean, Alaska, Mexico, Panama Canal and Canada/New England, it is highly recommended that you always carry your passport for U.S. and Canadian residents in these destinations, an original or certified birth certificate along with a photo ID is acceptable. A driver's license alone is not sufficient. United States Resident Aliens must bring their Alien Registration Card.
Note that residents of countries other than the U.S. and Canada require a passport for all sailings and may require additional documentation. Check with your travel agent or the Consulate for each port you will visit for any pecific documents you need to obtain prior to your cruise.
All travel documents required for disembarkation at various ports of call are your responsibility and should be carried with you. Passengers will not be able to board the vessel without proper documentation.
Important: Visa requirements vary by destination and do change from time to time. Be sure to check with your travel agent to verify current regulations.

PREGNANCY: Princess cannot accept passengers who will have entered the 24th week of pregnancy by the end of the vacation. Guests must supply Princess' Fleet Medical Department a doctor's letter stating the guest's estimated due date.

WHAT TRAVEL AND HEALTH DOCUMENTS DO I NEED?
Bring your cruise ticket, airline tickets, cruise passage contract, passport and visa, if required. You must also present vaccination certificates and other health documents if required for your particular ports of call. If you do not possess the proper documentation, you may be prevented from boarding the flight or vessel without refund of the cruise and you will be subject to any fine or other costs incurred by Princess which results from the lack of proper documentation. Please consult your travel agent for full details regarding documentation, as it is your obligation to determine what documents will be necessary.

Guests are encouraged to complete online documentation no later than six (6) days prior to sailing. About your cruise

Travelers With Physical Challenges
Princess Cruises is proud to lead the industry in providing a carefree and enjoyable cruise experience for all passengers. In order to accommodate your needs, please have your travel agent provide Princess with complete details of your requirements.

Princess Cruises offers accessible cabins and can provide dining room seating arrangements to avoid stairs and raised areas. Just be sure your travel agent notifies Princess Cruises of your wheelchair usage and any other special needs prior to sailing. Travelers with physical challenges should check in with the onboard Tour Office to ensure that all pre-reserved tours can accommodate their needs.

In some ports of call, the ship must anchor and passengers must be transported to the pier via ship's tender. Tidal conditions, even when the ship is docked, may also limit pier accessibility. With your safety and comfort in mind, the decision to permit or prohibit passengers from going ashore will be made on each occasion by the ship's Captain, and the decision is final. Because Princess Cruises is not staffed with specially trained personnel to assist passengers with physical challenges, it recommends that you be accompanied by someone who is physically able to assist you both ashore and aboard if necessary. Each ship stocks a limited number of wheelchairs, but please be aware they must be pre-reserved at the time of your booking.

When bringing your own wheelchair, Princess Cruises highly recommends collapsible wheelchairs, as the width of cabin doors varies from ship to ship. Should you require further information, please contact your travel agent or our Reservations Department for assistance.

If you need to bring and use syringes or other medical equipment onboard, Princess Cruises request that you bring a sharps box and that you contact the shipboard medical infirmary for disposal instructions.

If you are traveling with a service animal, please be aware that Princess requires advance notice and that regulations may vary from port to port. Princess does not provide pet food. If your service animal requires special food, you will be responsible for bringing a supply of such food for the duration of your trip. Passengers are advised to consult the local authorities at each port of call prior to departure for the necessary documentation.

PRINCESS ACCESS
Princess is for everyone. A great deal of thought has gone into making Princess ships accessible for all passengers. Princess is proud to offer a variety of accessible cabins and has made most public areas accessible as well. Many of the Princess elevators have Braille call buttons and audible arrival announcements. Princess welcomes service animals. Passengers can request an "all-in-one kit" that includes telephone amplifier, visual smoke detector, door knocker-sensor, text telephone and other aids for passengers with hearing loss. Because many countries have not yet achieved a reasonable level of access, in some ports of call wheelchair users may find few, if any, wheelchair-accessible shore excursions or transportation. However, Princess is happy to work closely with their passengers to provide an accessible cruise experience. Please see the ship deck plans on pages 40-47 for the locations of wheelchair-accessible cabins.

Princess is happy to meet your request for low-sodium, low-fat, low-sugar, and vegetarian diets. In addition, kosher meals (frozen entrees only) and baby food are available upon written request. Any other special diet requests must be authorized in advance by the corporate office. Please ask your travel agent to advise Princess in writing of any requests for special diets to accommodate medical needs or allergies, at least four weeks before you sail. Please note that baby formula is not available onboard. For your convenience, you can also supply this information online at tmuw.prmcess.com. Once onboard, please check with the Maitre d'Hotel to confirm your request.

CLAIMS FOR INJURY, ILLNESS OR DEATH/NOTICE REQUIREMENTS/TIME LIMITS
Any incident or accident resulting in injury, illness or death to the passenger, whether occurring aboard ship, in connection with pre- or post-cruise accommodations, or during a shore excursion (independent or ship-sponsored), must be reported immediately to a ship's officer or Princess. Carrier shall not be liable for and no suit shall be maintainable for emotional or bodily injury, illness or death to the passenger unless (A) a written claim with full particulars is presented to carrier within six (6) months of the incident or accident and (B) a lawsuit on such claim is commenced within one (1) year from the date the emotional or bodily injury, illness or death, whichever comes first, and valid service of the lawsuit is made within ninety (90) days of the suit. In all other cases, no lawsuit may be brought against carrier unless (A) written notice giving full particulars of the claim is delivered to carrier within fifteen (15) days of termination of the cruise and (B) a lawsuit on such claim is filed within six (6) months from the date the cruise terminated and valid service of the lawsuit is made within ninety (90) days of the suit. If you choose to sue Princess Cruise Lines, Ltd., all disputes and matters whatsoever against Princess arising out of or relating to your cruise or the booking/cancellation of your cruise shall be litigated by you, if at all, in Los Angeles, California.

LAND AND AIR ARRANGEMENTS
Princess shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, illness, death, cost or delay arising from or in connection with the services and facilities provided by or any act of an independent contractor such as airline, hotel, tour, restaurant, rail or any other transport operator, etc., whether or not such arrangements were made by Princess.

MEDICAL FACILITIES AND STAFF
Princess is not a healthcare provider and is not liable for any act or omission of doctors, nurses or other providers of service or those under their orders with respect to the treatment, advice, care or services of any kind given by such persons to any passenger. These medical providers are independent of Princess and exercise their own medical judgment and expertise.

TICKETING
Princess reserves the right to choose the air carrier, routing and airport for each gateway city. Princess reserves the right to substitute charter air service for scheduled air service without prior notice. Airfares used are capacity controlled, promotional, nonrefundable and are subject to change. Airline tickets issued by Princess are highly restrictive. Because of this, you may find that your air ticket cannot be reissued, revalidated, or exchanged for another carrier or routing. All airline tickets are the property of Princess and must be returned to and are refundable only to Princess. Flight schedules may require that you make connections or stops enroute to your final destination or cruise departure. Flight schedules cannot be changed once your tickets have been issued by Princess. A fee may apply if you change or cancel your air arrangements prior to air tickets being issued. Any additional costs, including fees for cancellations/rebookings will be made at the passenger's expense. If you cancel your cruise after air tickets have been issued, you may be subject to cancellation fees unless you have purchased, and the cancellation is covered by, Princess' Vacation Protection program. Any cancellation fees will be deducted from your refund. Passengers booked in the same cabin but who originate from different gateway cities may not receive routing on the same flights. Passengers traveling together, but booked or deposited at different times may be required to travel on different flights. Passengers traveling in groups of 10 or more may be required to travel on different flights.

AIR DEPARTURE TAXES
Some countries require passengers to pay an airport departure tax which is not included on the passenger air ticket. The individual passengers are responsible for this tax. In most cases, this tax is collected at the airport upon check-in and may have to be paid in local currency. Princess Cruise recommends your travel agent verify any applicable tax for which the passenger may be responsible.

AIR CHARGES
Air charges include all air fees and taxes that are included in the air add-on price and specifically include U.S. Excise Tax and certain Passenger Fuel Surcharges. Air charges vary by gateway city and routing and are averaged for each gateway city.

AIR FEES, TAXES AND SURCHARGES
Air fees, taxes and surcharges may include any and all fees, charges and taxes related to air transportation imposed by U.S. and/or foreign governmental or quasi-governmental authorities, including airport facility charges, departure taxes, security taxes and surcharges, airport service charges and government inspection fees. Air fees, taxes and surcharges vary by gateway city, routing, destination and carrier. Air fees, taxes and surcharges are estimated for each FlightChoice gateway city. Actual air fees and taxes may be higher or lower. Refunds will not be made if actual air fees and taxes are lower than estimated. Princess reserves the right to collect any increases in air fees and taxes in effect at the time of sailing, even if the fare has already been paid in full.

AIR CUSTOMIZATIONS
Subject to availability, Princess will fly passengers directly to or from their cruise destination as requested by the passenger. A nonrefundable cost of US$35 per person will apply per customization request. Requests for bookings under deposit must be made between 320 and 30 days prior to departure. Where applicable, passengers confirmed to travel on days other than normally scheduled by Princess will forfeit all complimentary hotel overnights and transfers between the airport and pier as provided by Princess. All customizations are subject to availability and confirmation.

SEAT ASSIGNMENTS/SPECIAL MEAL REQUESTS
Airline seat assignments cannot be confirmed by Princess. Princess Cruise recommends that you have your travel agent contact the airlines directly for seat assignments, the addition of frequent flyer numbers to your airline record or to request special meals. Please be advised that not all airlines provide pre-reserved seats, add frequent flyer numbers to records or apply frequent flyer bonus upgrades to flights booked by Princess. If you have specific air travel requirements, please take advantage of Princess' FlightChoice Plus program.

OVERNIGHTS
For some cruise itineraries it may be necessary, due to flight schedules and/or availability of seats, for passengers to overnight either before or after their cruise. If it is necessary to overnight, hotel accommodations, baggage handling and transfers are at passengers' expense. Passengers will also be responsible for all meals and other items of a personal nature. Passengers may purchase a hotel accommodation/transfer package directly from Princess or they may choose to make their own arrangements. Complimentary overnights are assigned only in select markets at Princess' discretion. Hotel selection will be at Princess' option, will usually be at an airport location and may not be at the port of embarkation/disembarkation. You will be advised as soon as possible if an overnight is required.

FLIGHT RECONFIRMATION
Most airlines do not require reconfirmation of flights; however, it is strongly recommended that you verify both flight departure times and flight numbers at least 72 hours prior to your departure from home. Princess is not responsible for airline schedule or flight number changes after tickets have been issued.

REFUNDS
All airline tickets issued in conjunction with Princess' air travel program are refundable only to Princess. Any unused flight coupons must be returned to Princess (Attention: Reservations Administration). Princess will determine the amount of any refund due. If an air ticket is lost, the passenger is responsible for the cost of replacement.

PRINCESS' TRANSFER PROGRAM
Cruise and cruisetour passengers may purchase transfers from the port city airport to the ship and from the ship to the port city airport. These transfers are priced separately and are available on the turnaround day only. They are available to both FlightChoice passengers and to those passengers who have made independent flight arrangements. Transfers must be purchased at least 45 days in advance of the cruise. Passengers who have made independent flight arrangements must provide Princess with this information at least 45 days in advance of the departure day. Transfers within the land portion of cruisetours and for Cruise Plus passengers are included. Transfers at both ends of a cruisetour will be charged separately.

REFUSAL OF PASSAGE AND PREMATURE DISEMBARKATION
Passage may be refused to any passenger, and any passenger's vacation may be terminated at any time, at the risk and expense of the person disembarked, where the passenger's physical or mental condition or behavior renders him or her, in the opinion of the ship's physician, unfit for travel or a risk or danger to himself or herself or to anyone else onboard the ship, or where the disclosure required in the immediate preceding paragraph is not made. Additionally, the ship's captain may refuse transportation to any passenger or may terminate any passenger's voyage who, in the sole discretion of the ship's captain, is believed to be dangerous to himself or others or causes disturbances to Princess' passengers or crew. Such passenger may be left at any port or place the ship calls without any liability to Princess. Princess shall not be required to refund any portion of the fare paid by any passenger who must leave the vacation prematurely for any of the reasons set forth above or who voluntarily disembarks or leaves the ship for any other reason, nor shall it be responsible for lodging, medical, meals, return transportation or other expenses incurred by the passenger.

Passenger represents that he or she is authorized by all Passengers to accept and agree to all the terms and conditions of the Passage Contract. It is Passenger's sole responsibility to obtain and have available when necessary the appropriate valid travel documents. All passengers are advised to check with their travel agent or the appropriate government authority to determine the necessary documents. Passengers will be subject to any fine or other costs incurred by Carrier which result from improper documentation or noncompliance with applicable regulations, which amount may be charged to Your cabin account and/or credit card.
(iii) Arrive at least two hours before the scheduled sailing time and have with You Your cruise information packet. Attach a completed Princess Cruises luggage tag to each piece of baggage.

(c) Prior to disembarking the ship, you must pay in full all amounts charged to your cabin account. Carrier shall not be liable for loss, damage or delay resulting from Your failure to comply with these requirements.

3. NOTICE CONCERNING SAFETY AND SECURITY.
Carrier visits a large number of ports in numerous countries around the world. At any given moment there are likely to be "trouble spots" in the world in terms of crime and/or war or terrorist actions. Accordingly, it may be necessary to change the published cruise or shore excursion itinerary. Any such changes are for Your safety and beyond our control. While Carrier endeavors to provide reasonable protection for Your comfort and safety onboard its ships, Carrier cannot guarantee freedom from all risks associated with war, terrorism, crime or other potential sources of harm. Carrier reminds all passengers that they must ultimately assume responsibility for their actions while ashore. The United States Department of State and other similar government agencies regularly issue advisories and warnings to travellers giving details of local conditions in specified cities and countries according to such agency's perception of risks to travellers. Carrier strongly recommends that passengers and their travel agents obtain and consider such information when making travel decisions.

4. RIGHT TO REFUSE PASSAGE.
You will not be allowed to board the ship or be entitled to a refund if You do not have proper documentation. Carrier may refuse to embark You if, in Carrier's sole opinion, You are unfit for any reason or You will enter the third trimester of pregnancy by the end of the Cruise. If Carrier refuses to allow You on board for any of these reasons, any refund of the Cruise Fare will be made based on the timing of such refusal in accordance with Section 6 and Carrier will have no further liability. If You become unfit to travel for any reason during the Cruise and/or disembark early, Carrier shall not be liable for any refund or damages.

5. AGE REQUIREMENTS; DRINKING AGE; GAMING AGE; ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES.
The minimum passenger age is 12 months on Transatlantic and Exotic cruises and 6 months on all other cruises. Passengers under the age of 21 years must be accompanied by a Passenger over the age of 21. If the adult is not the parent of the Passenger under the age of 18, a Parental/Guardianship Consent must be signed by his/her parent or legal guardian and delivered to Carrier before sailing. No alcohol may be purchased or consumed by any Passengers under the age of 21. No Passenger under the age of 21 shall be permitted to engage in any gaming activities on board the ship. Carrier kindly requests that You do not bring alcoholic beverages of any kind (except wine and champagne) on board for consumption. Alcoholic beverages that are purchased duty free, from the ship's gift shop, or at ports of call will be collected by Carrier personnel for safekeeping and delivered to Your cabin on the last day of the voyage. A member of Carrier's security staff will be at the gangway to assist with the storage of Your alcoholic beverage purchases. A corkage fee of US$10 per bottle will be applied to wine and champagne consumed in the ship's restaurant.

6. CANCELLATION, REFUND AND YOUR TRAVEL AGENT.
You are not entitled to any refund except as otherwise provided in this Section. Any refunds will be made directly to Your credit card account or Your travel agent and You must receive Your refund directly from these sources. You may cancel by telephone or electronic advice via a Carrier-approved Computer Reservation System, provided Carrier immediately receives written confirmation of cancellation. The following cancellation policy applies with respect to Your Cruise Fare, Cruisetour Fare, air add-ons, Non- Commissionable Fare, Shoreside Excursions, and Pre-Cruise and Post-Cruise Package charges ("Total Charges").:

7. RIGHT TO CANCEL, CHANGE TIME OF SAILING OR PORT, SHORTEN THE CRUISE; SUBSTITUTION.
Carrier may, at any time, without notice or liability for payment or compensation, cancel the Cruise, change the date or time of sailing or arrival, change the port of embarkation or disembarkation, shorten the Cruise or substitute ships, aircraft, other transportation or lodging. Passenger shall have no claim against Carrier, and Carrier shall not be liable (whether for damages or a refund) for hotel or meal charges, travel expenses or other loss, delay, inconvenience, disappointment or expense whatsoever in such circumstances, except as follows:

(a) If Carrier cancels the Cruise before it has started, it will refund the Cruise Fare (less any air or accommodation charges incurred).

(b) If the sailing is delayed and You are not accommodated on board the ship, Carrier may arrange accommodations and food at no additional expense to You.

(c) If the scheduled port of embarkation or disembarkation is changed, Carrier will arrange transportation to it from the originally scheduled port.

(d) If the Cruise is terminated or ends early, Carrier, at its option, may issue a cruise credit, make a proportionate refund of Your Cruise Fare, transfer You to another ship or transport You to the scheduled final port.

8. RIGHT TO DEVIATE FROM ROUTE AND CHANGE OR OMIT PORTS OF CALL.
Carrier may, for any reason, without notice or liability for payment or compensation: (a) deviate from the scheduled ports of call, route and timetable, (b) call or omit to call at any port or place, (c) comply with all governmental laws and orders given by governmental authorities, (d) proceed without pilots, tow or be towed and assist vessels, or (e) render assistance to preserve life and property. Accordingly, You should not make any important arrangements or meetings based on the proposed itinerary of the Cruise, which may change without liability to Carrier.

9. YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO INFORM CARRIER OF DISABILITIES OR PREGNANCY.
You must, at the time You book Your Cruise, inform Carrier in writing of any existing physical or mental illness, disability or any other condition for which You or any other person in Your care may require medical attention or special accommodation during the Cruise or for which the use of a wheelchair or service animal is contemplated or necessary. If any such condition arises after You have booked the Cruise, You must report the condition to Carrier as soon as You become aware of it. Failure to report any such condition will release Carrier, the ship's doctor and all other personnel from any liability related to the accommodation or treatment of such condition or for any other conduct whatsoever in connection therewith. Carrier may refuse to embark You as set forth in Section 4.

10. RIGHT TO CONFINE YOU TO STATEROOM, REFUSE TO EMBARK YOU, OR DISEMBARK YOU.
Carrier may, without liability for refund or damages, confine You to Your cabin, change Your accommodations, refuse to embark You, or disembark You at any time if, in the opinion of Carrier, the Captain, or the Doctor, Your presence might be detrimental to Your health, comfort or safety or that of other Passengers or the crew. If You are delayed or detained on board the ship or elsewhere, due to injury, illness, or disability or due to action of any government or authority, or for any other reason not the fault of Carrier, You must pay or reimburse Carrier for all resulting costs and expenses including food, transportation, accommodation and repatriation.

11. UNAUTHORIZED STOPOVER OR DISEMBARKATION.
Unauthorized stopover or disembarkation or failure to make any sailing of the ship at any port shall be at Your sole risk and expense and You will not be entitled to any refund or other compensation.

12. NO ANIMALS.
No pets or other animals are allowed on the ship at any time, except for certain necessary service animals of a disabled Passenger, which require Carrier's written approval.

13. RESPONSIBILITY TO COMPLY WITH LAW AND REGULATIONS OF SHIP; NO SOLICITATION.
You shall be responsible for complying with the requirements of all immigration, port, health, customs, and police authorities, and all other laws and regulations of each country or state from or to which You will travel and You agree to reimburse Carrier for any expenses or fines that it may incur as a result of Your noncompliance. You must at all times obey all the rules, regulations and orders of the ship, Carrier and the Captain. You shall not solicit other Passengers for commercial purposes or advertise goods or services on board the ship without Carrier's prior written permission.

14. HEALTH, MEDICAL CARE AND OTHER PERSONAL SERVICES.
All health, medical or other personal services provided in connection with Your Cruise are provided solely for the convenience and benefit of Passengers who may be charged for such services. You accept and use medicine, medical treatment and other personal services available on the ship or elsewhere at Your sole risk and expense without liability or responsibility of Carrier. Doctors, nurses or other medical or service personnel work directly for Passenger and shall not be considered to be acting under the control or supervision of Carrier, since Carrier is not a medical provider. Similarly, beauticians, masseurs, photographers, instructors and other service personnel shall be considered independent contractors who work directly for the Passenger. Carrier recommends that You obtain Your own insurance protection against loss or damage to baggage and personal effects, trip cancellation and emergency evacuations, accidental death or injury, illness and medical expenses sustained or incurred in connection with your cruise.

15. BAGGAGE AND PERSONAL EFFECTS; LIABILITY LIMITATIONS.
You may take a reasonable amount of luggage on board containing only Your personal effects, but may not carry any bulky items. A charge may be payable by Passenger for any excess baggage. The terms and conditions of the airline or other transportation provider also apply. You may not take on board firearms, controlled or prohibited substances, or inflammable or hazardous items, or any contraband prohibited by applicable law. The ship's officers have the right to enter and search Your cabin and baggage for any hazardous, controlled or prohibited substances or contraband. Carrier's liability for loss or damage to baggage or personal property is limited to U.S. US$250 per Passenger or up to US$1,500 if covered by Princess Travel CareSM, or up to U.S. US$3,000 if covered by Princess Travel Care GoldSM. Carrier shall not be liable for any loss of or damage to money, jewelry, electronics, cameras, binoculars, dental hardware, eyeglasses, documents or any other personal property. You may use the safe in Your cabin or a safety deposit box available at the Purser's desk. Carrier does not undertake to carry as baggage, and shall have no liability whatsoever for, any money, valuables, precious stones or metals or any articles listed in Section 4281 of the Revised Statutes of the United States (Title 46 U.S. Code, Section 181). Such items must be shipped to Your destination by other means.

16. LIMITATIONS ON CARRIER'S LIABILITY; INDEMNIFICATION.
Carrier is not liable for death, injury, illness, damage, delay or other loss to person or property of any kind caused by an Act of God, war, civil commotions, labor trouble, governmental interference, perils of the sea, fire, thefts, or any other cause beyond Carrier's reasonable control, or any other act not shown to be caused by Carrier's negligence. Carrier hereby disclaims all liability to the passenger for damages for emotional distress, mental anguish or psychological injury of any kind under any circumstances, when such damages were neither the result of a physical injury to the Passenger, nor the result of that Passenger having been at actual risk of physical injury, nor intentionally inflicted by Carrier. 21. Fuel Surcharge.

Cruise Fare does not include fuel supplement charges. Princess reserves the right to charge a fuel supplement charge without prior notice.

The following programs will apply to the 2009/2010 season:

Princess Vacation Protection (formerly called Princess Travel Care):
This program provides travel protection from trip cancellation, to baggage protection, excess medical coverage and emergency evacuation. In order to have a more equitable alignment of the pricing with the fare paid, this program has been revised and will include two levels:

  • Standard Program: Available for 8% of the cruise fare (with a minimum of $39), except for fares $5,000 or more for which it is 6% of cruise fare. These rates apply to all guests, including sole occupants, third and fourth berths, adults and children.
  • Platinum Protection: Available for 12% of the cruise fare (with a minimum of $59), except for fares $5,000 or more for which it is 10% of the cruise fare. The charge for Platinum Protection for third and fourth berth guests (including children) is 12% of the cruise fare. These rates apply to all guests, including sole occupants, third and fourth berths, adults and children. Platinum Protection provides double the amount of excess medical, baggage and emergency evacuation coverage and has been enhanced to offer 100% Future Cruise Credits (previously 90%) when cancelling a cruise for a reason that does not qualify for a full refund. The Princess Gold program has been discontinued. For Platinum Captain’s Circle members purchasing standard Princess Vacation Protection, Princess will purchase an upgrade to Princess Platinum Cancellation Protection automatically on their behalf.
